(Dec 2022), I have managed the event preparations of Amreyah’s Career Camp, an annual event sponsored by Amreyah Cement (formerly InterCement Egypt) to bridge the gap between academia and the private sector by raising university undergraduates’ awareness on several business topics.
During the 2-day event, I have been able to 1) collaborate with the Faculty of Business at Alexandria University and the University Center for Career Development (UCCD) to have them host the career camp, 2) secure 4 different expert speakers amongst Amreyah’s Middle Management Team to deliver the career advice session, 3) gain the support of the HR team to be present during both days to offer guidance to more than 250 students about CV writing, internship opportunities…, etc., 4) organize a webinar prior to the career camp to raise awareness among the students about the company, the event program, and how they can attend, and 5) coordinate the event logistics including giveaways, branding materials, catering and media services.
After the event, I also prepared external and internal communications to cover the happenings and report on the attendees’ and other partners’ feedback.
